New radiation-resistant camera heads for space applications as an all-in-one solution

Last but not least, we would like to introduce an innovative range of camera heads as an all-in-one solution. The camera head systems are an integrated solution of sensor, image processing, power supply, protection and standardized communication and are suitable for space applications such as earth observation, planetology or platform monitoring to monitor the condition and performance of equipment or payloads on board a spacecraft or for GNC applications to control and monitor key systems.

The camera head series is available in a 4Mpx and 12Mpx version. Depending on the version and interface, it can acquire up to 16 or 68 frames per second. The operation of the cameras is designed for radiation loads up to 30 krad(Si) (for the 4Mpx version) or 40 krad(Si) (12Mpx version) and for temperatures between -40 °C - +70 °C. It is also worth mentioning that the FPGA-based architecture provides high adaptability in terms of reconfiguration during the mission.

Further specifications of the new camera series, which combines sensor, image processing, power supply and protection as well as communication interfaces in one compact unit and is of course approved for space applications, can be found at this button.
