Czech Space Alliance: High-tech from the Czech Republic for European missions
The Czech Space Alliance (CSA) brings together the capabilities of around 20 companies from the Czech Republic that cover almost every area of space projects, from components and mechanisms to structures, software, and testing and design services.
In the expert interview at Space Tech Expo Europe 2024, Richard Pavlica, President of the Czech Space Alliance, explains how CSA member companies contribute to major ESA and commercial programs. Examples include a flexible 20 meter solar array for a NOVACOM platform by Thales Alenia Space, with 5M leading the consortium for the complete mechanical subsystem, as well as contributions to service modules for the PLATO mission, on-board computers, cryostats, supercapacitors, 3D printed metal structures, and radiation monitoring with MiniPIX detectors on the ISS.

The interview highlights how strongly the Czech space industry is embedded in European missions and how industrial alliances help to create reliable space systems. MSA Components looks forward to continuing these discussions at Space Tech Expo Europe 2025 in Bremen and exploring new joint projects.
