On September 18, 2024, MSA Components GmbH enthusiastically participated in the 18th Day of German Aerospace Regions in Munich. The event, held in the magnificent Max-Joseph-Saal of the Munich Residence, provided a unique platform for the aerospace industry to discuss future strategies and innovations. The day’s theme, “Future.Aviation, Future.Space, Future.SME: Zeitenwende,” underscored that the industry faces significant challenges and opportunities.
During the event, numerous lively conversations and discussions took place, focusing on the future of aerospace. Particularly, the exchange between Dr. Anna Christmann, Member of Parliament and the Federal Government Coordinator for Aerospace, and Andreas Gundel, Managing Director of bavAIRia, highlighted the need for innovation and close collaboration within the industry. These discussions provided crucial insights for the future development and shaping of aerospace policy. Dr. Christmann emphasized how vital it is for the industry to bring its expertise directly into the political decision-making process to effectively address upcoming challenges and opportunities.
A particularly delightful moment was the visit of Bavaria’s Minister of Economic Affairs, Hubert Aiwanger, to our booth. His personal interest in our products and innovations demonstrates the importance of direct collaboration between politics and industry to drive technological progress. We were very pleased to showcase our latest solutions for aerospace to Mr. Aiwanger and to engage in direct dialogue.
The event was opened with a speech by Bavaria’s Minister of Economic Affairs, Hubert Aiwanger. In his address and later during the evening state reception, he emphasized the importance of “German Engineering” and urged the industry to “roll up its sleeves and head for new horizons.” This message was enthusiastically received by participants and perfectly matched the dynamic and motivating atmosphere of the entire day.
Aiwanger also pointed out that the German aerospace industry is well-positioned compared to other sectors, such as the automotive industry, but this should not lead to complacency. On the contrary, now is the time to seize the opportunities presented by this pivotal moment and invest in research, development, and new technologies.
The presence of Dr. Anna Christmann was an important boost for the industry. Her speech made it clear that the aerospace sector can play a vital role in shaping future-relevant decisions at the political level. This close cooperation between industry and politics is essential for continuing to drive the innovative strength of the German aerospace sector.
MSA Components GmbH welcomes this positive development and sees itself strengthened in its mission to continue offering high-quality and innovative solutions for the aerospace industry through these engaging discussions and exchanges with industry colleagues.
Overall, the event offered a positive and optimistic perspective on the future of the aerospace industry in Germany. The importance of sustainability, digitization, and the growing relevance of military aviation were central to many discussions. MSA Components GmbH will leverage the insights and contacts gained to further strengthen its position as a reliable partner for the industry.
We look forward to actively seizing the opportunities of the “Zeitenwende” and shaping the future of aerospace together with our partners and customers.
