PAVE Technology offers hermetic, gas-tight, fluid-tight, and vacuum-tight bulkhead passthrough seals for any type of commercial or military insulated electrical and fiber optic wire, jacketed cable, or pin connector. These seals are suitable for both low and high-pressure applications, as well as vacuum conditions, including bi-directional pressure uses. Operating temperatures can be customized from -200°C to 200°C based on design specifications and customer requirements. PAVE’s hermetically sealed wire, cable, and connector seals also meet or exceed IP68 ingress protection standards, ensuring long-term resistance to dust and pressurized water.

Hermetic electrical feedthroughs provide gas-tight and liquid-tight electrical connections through pressure and vacuum barriers, even in extreme temperatures. PAVE Technology offers custom-engineered solutions for signal, power, RF, thermocouple, high-voltage, and fiber-optic applications, with options for various wire counts, gauges, insulation types, and mounting configurations. Hermetic pin headers and solder cup pin seals are designed for PCB and panel mounting in sealed enclosures and pressure housings. PAVE’s proprietary epoxy sealing technology provides bi-directional sealing, high-pressure performance, and helium leak rates as low as 4 × 10⁻⁹ cc/sec.

PAVE-Flex® hermetic feedthroughs provide reliable sealing for flat cables, ribbon cables, and flexible PCB circuits in pressure and vacuum applications. Custom-designed to customer requirements, they support Kapton® polyimide flex circuits as well as insulated flat cables with solid copper conductors. Various mounting options—including O-ring seals, laser welds, electron-beam welds, and custom flanges—allow the feedthroughs to suit demanding applications. PAVE-Flex® solutions are designed for reliable electrical performance and environmental protection across a range of operating conditions.

Hermetic fiber-optic, thermocouple, and terminal seals provide reliable, gas-tight and fluid-tight connections for demanding pressure and vacuum environments. PAVE Technology offers fiber-optic seals for single- and multimode cables, with custom terminations and mounting options. Thermocouple feedthroughs support J, K, T, and E types, with custom designs for vacuum, pressure, and elevated-temperature applications. Hermetic terminal stud seals provide sealed electrical power connections through pressure boundaries, with threaded and custom configurations available. These solutions are designed for dependable performance in aerospace, laboratory, industrial, and other applications requiring long-term hermetic integrity.

Hermetic High Voltage Seals

Hermetic high-voltage seals provide reliable, bi-directional electrical feedthroughs for vacuum, pressure, and harsh environments. PAVE Technology offers solutions for high-voltage wires and cables from 1–30 kV, with configurations supporting multiple conductors, coaxial cables, and high-voltage connectors. Designs accommodate a wide range of cable insulation materials, including PTFE, FEP, silicone, PVC, XLPE, and Kapton®, with operating temperatures from approximately −200°C to 200°C depending on configuration. Custom feedthroughs are available for specific voltage, cable, mounting, and environmental requirements, with helium leak testing available to rates as low as 10⁻⁹ cc/sec.

Explosion Proof Feedthrough

PAVE Technology’s explosion-proof feedthroughs and line bushings provide sealed electrical and fiber-optic connections for hazardous and potentially explosive environments. Available in threaded NPT, metric, and non-threaded configurations, they can accommodate a wide range of wires, cables, flex circuits, and pin terminals. Designs are available to ATEX, UL 1203, FM, CSA, and related explosion-proof standards, with temperature ratings up to 200°C depending on configuration. These feedthroughs can provide flameproof, water-, oil-, and dust-tight protection, with options for upgrading to fully hermetic gas-block sealing for demanding applications.
