Pyramid Semiconductor Corporation is a fabless manufacturer of semiconductor integrated circuits, including MIL-STD-1750A Processors, Static RAMs, EEPROMs, and FCT/FCT-T Logic. Although they do not fabricate their own wafers, they partner with external wafer foundries in the USA and Taiwan. Their proprietary high-performance semiconductor designs are available in a variety of plastic and hermetic ceramic packages.
Supporting over 100 Standard Military Drawings (SMDs), Pyramid Semiconductor is well-suited for high longevity military applications. The company operates from a 10,000-square-foot facility where it conducts die design, wafer testing, product assembly, environmental testing, electrical testing, burn-in, marking, and quality assurance before delivering products to military, industrial, and commercial customers worldwide. This facility also enables them to develop custom solutions with short lead times.
Headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, Pyramid Semiconductor was established in January 2003 following the acquisition of all product lines from Performance Semiconductor. They continue to support all products previously handled by Performance Semiconductor, maintaining the same part numbering scheme.
On March 8, 2021, HEICO Corporation’s Electronic Technologies Group acquired Pyramid Semiconductor LLC. The company now operates as part of HEICO/3D PLUS USA, located in the Silicon Valley area. The P4C422 is a 1,024-bit high-speed (10ns) Static RAM with a 256 x 4 organization. The memory requires no clocks or refreshing and has equal access and cycle times. Inputs and outputs are fully TTL compatible. Operation is from a single 5 Volt supply. Easy memory expansion is provided by an active LOW chip select one (CS1) and active HIGH chip select two (CS2) as well as 3-state outputs.
The P4C167/L are 16,384-bit high speed static RAMs organized as 16Kx1. The CMOS memories require no clocks or refreshing and have equal access and cycle times. The RAMs operate from a single 5V ± 10% tolerance power supply. Data integrity is maintained for supply voltages down to 2.0V, typically drawing 10μA.
The PYA28C64B is a 5 Volt 8Kx8 EEPROM. The device supports 64-byte page write operation. The PYA28C64B features DATA and Toggle Bit Polling to indicate early completion of a Write Cycle. The device also includes user-optional software data protection. Data Retention is 10 Years. The device is available in a 28-Pin 600 mil wide Ceramic DIP and 32-Pin LCC.
The P4C163 and P4C163L are 73,728-bit ultra high-speed static RAMs organized as 8Kx9. The CMOS memories require no clocks or refreshing and have equal access and cycle times. Inputs are fully TTL-compatible. The RAMs operate from a single 5V±10% tolerance power supply. With battery backup, data integrity is maintained for supply voltages down to 2.0V. Current drain is 10 μA from a 2.0V supply.

It often happens that components are replaced by new versions or generations over time, and the old components are no longer manufactured. In this case, companies usually have the opportunity to stock up on the used components again shortly before production is stopped or the new generation begins so that they can continue to offer their devices on the market and to their customers.
In support of a customer and their mature Hi-Rel program, we have added a new package offering for our regular and low power 1Mb SRAM, the P4C1024 family. It is a 32-pin ceramic SOJ package, compliant to package type "7" in SMD 5962-89598. We are working to deliver the first parts in early 2024, and available to support additional programs that use the 5962-89598xxM7X 1Mb SRAM in this package! PRI (Performance Review Institute) performed an Annual Surveillance Audit of Pyramid Semiconductor and re-Certified Pyramid Semiconductor to the ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D. This Certification will expire in September 2025, so another Full Certification Audit will be required at that time (every three years).
