Ruggedized nano-miniature connectors with a 0.025" pitch meet Mil/Aero demands for compact interconnects. Standard designs are available online for immediate selection.

Prototypes can be quickly assembled using COTS components, reducing delays. These metal connectors minimize circuit weight and space while increasing signal lines. Unique shapes can be rapidly created with CNC machining for custom fits in tight areas. Standard delivery is off-the-shelf to 8 weeks; special machining may take longer.

Micro-D Connector

Omnetics offers reliable Micro-D connectors in standard, latching, single row, MIL-DTL-83513, and USB 3.0 configurations. Omnetics Micro-D subminiature connectors are QPL qualified and designed and manufactured to meet and exceed MIL-DTL-83513. The connector assembly is built to assure the highest performance through high shock and vibration applications as well as extreme environmental use. They use the proven beryllium copper spring pin to socket contact system plated with both nickel and Gold that assures the highest quality for mating and de-mating and very low contact resistance.

Nano-D Connector

Omnetics‘ Nano-D connectors offer an extremely rugged low profile connector which meets or exceeds MILDTL- 32139 requirements. These ultra-miniature nano connectors are available in a range from SMT for printed circuit board surface mounting to straight tails and wired cable. These Nano-D connectors are ideal for applications requiring secure ultra-miniature connectors.

Hybrid Connector

Containing both power and signal contacts, Omnetics’ Hybrid connectors offer a range of combo connector options with the ability to handle higher power Needs while maintaining a rugged lightweight micro-miniature size. These connectors give designers the ability to determine the amount of signal and power contacts that best serves their application. Size, weight, and power are taken into consideration by allowing users to Combine power and signal in one connector. The Hybrid configurations are available in various pin size and pin counts.

High Speed Connector

High-speed digital connectors have the same requirements as any other rugged connector: For example, they must meet specifications for shock, force, insertions, and vibration. There are, however, additional requirements that must be addressed in order to ensure proper performance for high-speed applications. With gigabit data rates through connectors now commonplace, the parameters that impact high-speed digital performance must be understood by both connector manufacturers and connector users. This is the first in a series of articles that are aimed at helping readers better understand the critical concepts and parameters that must be considered for high-speed connector design.

Harness / Cable Assembly

To minimize the design cycle time, Omnetics utilizes engineer-to-engineer communications. Omnetics will be available to assist your team from the developmental stages, to prototyping all the way through production. Omnetics’ Design Engineering Team uses SolidWorks. Omnetics does not typically charge for our engineering services which allows our customers to explore solutions to their interconnect challenges without having to generate Pos or go through lengthy approval processes. We are able to offer step files, printed prototypes and drawings prior to finalizing the design. This minimizes customer risk and results in successful implementation for prototype and production assemblies.
