K801 Series: Double-Start Thread
The Kilo 360 K801 series is designed for superior shock and vibration resistance and features a double-start thread and decoupling springs. According to Omnetics, the banding platform supports direct shield attachment or overmoulding for enhanced durability. The double-start ACME thread ensures compatibility with similar high-density "#23 contact" connectors on the market. These connectors are well suited for upgrading or repairing legacy systems and various military applications. To address conductivity issues associated with black zinc nickel, this series is also available with duplex black nickel (DBN) plating for enhanced protection. Other plating options include nickel, olive cadmium over nickel, passivated 304 stainless steel, nickel PTFE, black anodised and black zinc nickel.
K804 Series: Push-Pull Breakaway
The Kilo 360 K804 series is another rugged connector option, designed with anti-decoupling springs for superior shock and vibration resistance. Like the K801 series, it features a banding platform for direct shield mounting or overmoulding. However, the K804 series also offers PCB mounting options including PC tail and solder cup configurations. This push-pull connector is designed for easy handling and offers waterproof, dustproof and EMI resistant performance. It also allows for quick and easy application assembly and disassembly when required.
K805 Series: Triple-Start Thread
The Kilo 360 K805 series incorporates triple-start threads and anti-decoupling springs for excellent shock and vibration resistance. Designed for military and aerospace applications - including tactical ground equipment and military missiles - it offers exceptional durability and performance in a lightweight, versatile design. A key feature of the K805 Series is its triple-start thread with ratchet mechanism, which prevents disconnection under high vibration conditions, while an EMI spring enhances shielding performance.
