MSA Components participated in this year’s DLR Components Conference 2026 (DLR-Bauteilekonferenz 2026) in Dillenburg. The event took place on 19 and 20 May 2026 and brought together experts in electrical, electronic and electromechanical components for space applications.
MSA Components was represented by our Account Managers Jürgen Rust and Christoph Middel, together with our BDM Markus Schulte. The focus was on technical exchange, personal discussions and current topics around EEE components for space applications.
The DLR Components Conference is an information and exchange platform for experts in the field of electrical, electronic and electromechanical components for space applications. In addition to specialist presentations and discussion panels, the event also offers opportunities for personal exchange and professional networking.
For space applications, EEE components are a central part of mission-critical systems. Their selection, qualification and long-term availability directly affect development processes, procurement, system reliability and the planning of space programs.
This makes exchange between manufacturers, users, test houses, research institutions and distributors particularly important. Space programs are designed for long lifecycles. Components often need to remain available, documented and qualified over many years. At the same time, requirements are increasing around technological sovereignty, supply chain stability and application-specific technical support.
In addition to the technical program, the accompanying exhibition at Isabellenhütte Heusler GmbH & Co. KG offered valuable opportunities for direct exchange. The 2026 conference was held in Dillenburg with the support of Isabellenhütte.
For MSA Components, the event was a valuable opportunity to strengthen existing contacts, start new conversations and gain direct insights into current developments around space-grade components, qualification and supply chains.
The most valuable impressions often come not only from the official program, but also from discussions around the booth, during breaks, at the exhibition and in direct conversations with other participants. These are the moments where technical context, market requirements and practical experience come together.
The evening event at The Loh Collection also provided a suitable setting to continue discussions and strengthen personal contacts.
A recurring topic at the conference was how space programs can become more independent, technologically sovereign and reliably plannable in the long term. For MSA Components, this exchange is particularly relevant, as the selection and procurement of suitable Hi-Rel components are closely linked to technical consulting, market knowledge and long-term manufacturer relationships.
As a distributor of high-quality electronic components, MSA Components supports customers in regulated markets such as Space, Defense and Avionics. In space applications, individual products alone are not enough. What matters is the combination of technical suitability, documentation, qualification, availability and application-specific support.
The DLR Components Conference 2026 (DLR-Bauteilekonferenz 2026) once again showed how important direct exchange within the EEE specialist community is. Technical requirements, supply chain topics and qualification aspects cannot be viewed in isolation. They require cooperation along the entire value chain.
