Majority Voter - The radiation mitigation solution from 3D PLUS

The Majority Voter (3DRC3508ES2861) from our supplier 3D PLUS is a high-speed, 3-input octal majority voter module featuring built-in triple redundancy. It takes three 8-bit inputs for majority voting and outputs the voting result, along with an error signal that indicates discrepancies among the input bits (also 8-bit). Designed to operate within a power supply range of 1.65 V to 5.5 V, the module is versatile for various redundancy configurations, facilitated by its cold sparing function.

Advanced high performance semiconductor devices can be sensitive to Single Event Effect (SEE) when exposed under radiation in the Space environment. Those events can lead at least to data corruption or in worst case to the self destruction of the device. Therefore, those SEE events shall be mitigated to ensure the relevant reliability and life time of the application. A safe design for a mission critical Space application shall include a mitigation device.

Engineered to be immune to Single Event Transients (SET) and Single Event Latchups (SEL) and resistant to Single Event Upsets (SEU) and Multiple Bit Upsets (MBU) through its CMOS IC process, the Majority Voter (3DRC3508ES2861) is ideal for space applications. Its integration enhances digital system reliability using Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR). Additionally, this space-qualified module is ITAR-free.
